Counterfeiting, piracy and intellectual property theft

Recent reporting by the OECD and the Public Protection Partnership show that counterfeiting costs the UK economy somewhere between £2.6 and £9 billion a year. The cost to individual business is hard to quantify but can be assessed to be substantial.

Likewise, intellectual property theft costs the UK economy and business a similar amount.

Criminal action and civil action can help prosecute those responsible, recover costs and mitigate against the negative impact on both business and the UK economy.

This is not only a public safety issue, it is about UK businesses surviving and thriving.

At Soteria we have an experienced team of former police detectives that can help businesses protect their investments and intellectual property by covertly deploying to obtain the best evidence to secure prosecutions – both criminal and civil. From intelligence gathering to pro-active deployments and court ready packages – we are a one stop shop. We have a number of successful deployments in this area. Contact us for more details.

Bomb hoaxes and suspicious packages.

In one day this month Gatwick airport was shut due to a suspicious device and a controlled explosion was undertaken by EOD outside the American Embassy in London where a suspicious device was discovered.

It is difficult, if not impossible to secure any large footprint but behaviour awareness can assist established security protocols to mitigate against the threat of suspicious devices.

At their worst these devices can cause mass casualty incidents but, if inert, can cause substantial economic and reputational damage.

By identifying those person(s) whose behaviour falls outside baseline parameters, early intervention and the ‘power of hello’ can and will reduce risk to buildings, places and people.

Our covert behaviour detection team can deploy to anywhere in the UK and abroad to help enhance existing security measures.

Covert Security

The idea of the biggest, most visible close protection officers to protect those in the public eye , iconic sites or valuable assets is, in the 21st century, proving to be ineffective. Solid security does not encourage attention. We pride ourselves on being able to identify potential threats before they become an issue and mitigating against those threats. ‘Soft skills’ where we can talk to people from all walks of life and de-conflict is our preferred approach thereby allowing a covert, low profile approach to maximise safety and reduce risk. Contact us for an informal discussion on how we can assist you.

November Deployments

It has been another very busy month for us especially for covert surveillance deployments. We have not just deployed on behalf of law firms and investigation companies but as part of our company ethos around social responsibility, we have undertaken local, cost only deployments for those who need our service but would not normally be able to afford it. Many thanks to the vulnerable persons who trusted us to obtain the evidence they needed to secure their future.

On all these deployments our levels of professionalism, capability and experience have ensured that the client has received the best possible evidence to use to protect themselves, their investments, their reputations and their financial obligations.

Lastly

We are in discussions with a number of multi-national companies to replace existing, tired, covert evidence gathering capabilities and security options with our brand of excellence. If you would like to have access to a team of former Government trained specialists contact us for a no obligation and friendly chat.
