THE LATEST NEWS, UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Martyn’s Law; Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill

We re-visit this important legislation as it will affect all premises within scope. To see how it relates to you visit www.gov.uk

We are being contacted more often about our unique covert behaviour detection deployments and how we can assist in making events and venues safer. This service is not a stand alone but is designed to supplement existing security measures. We can also covertly assess your current security by deploying a ‘Red Team’ and provide a full report of any weaknesses you may have.

Please make yourselves aware of this legislation if you operate live music venues, nightclubs, open air events or paid for entry events.

Social Responsibility

All companies should have a social responsibility to recognise the needs of the community. We subscribe to this ethos and have recently undertaken covert surveillance deployments in London and Crawley for individual clients that required legally robust evidence to support legal proceedings. This service has been provided at cost to enable local community members to acquire a service that could not normally be undertaken.

If you are a law firm that represents individuals going through family courts please reach out to us.

Private Investigator Legislation

Anybody providing covert surveillance to obtain intelligence or evidence or undertakes any work to find information on your behalf falls within the definition of ‘Private Investigator’.

The Security Industry Association should provide oversight of anyone operating within this space but bizarrely, they do not!!

If you are looking to deploy any ‘Private Investigator’ on your behalf please undertake your own due diligence – they are many cowboy operators out there who will take your money and not provide a lot in return.

Check they are properly insured, have proper experience, have undertaken recognised training ( a 5 day course IS NOT ACCEPTABLE), are members of a recognised professional body such as the Abi, WAPI or ICi. You get what you pay for and these services should not be cheap. In the UK the average hourly rate of surveillance is between £60 and £150 an hour depending on training and experience.

Good News

This month has been busy for us deploying across the UK to provide legislative support to a number of UK law firms. As a result of our deployments over £1.8 million in assets have been identified to enable creditors to receive their money and complainants to obtain fair settlements.

If you are a UK law firm please contact us for a no obligation discussion on how we help you.
